Some have been led to believe that Propane is more
costly, but before you buy into this, consider that...

LifeForce APUs are about half the price of diesel units, and offer a
much quicker investment return.  Pay back on investment, from fuel
savings alone is within a year in most cases, and leasing one will
put money in the trucker's pocket from day one.  To evaluate fuel

  • LifeForce APU motors and generators are built by the world's
leading manufacture of RV generators, Generac Power
Systems.  They are longer lasting, more refined, and better
proven than any propane genset on the planet.  There are no
belts to maintain, no hoses to leak, and have a life expectancy
    of thousands of hours.
  • This APU is much quieter in operation you’ll sleep better!
  • They weigh about half of most diesel and battery powered
APUs.  They are easy to install – in many cases by the trucker
himself - with no need for special tools or equipment, and no
drilling or tapping of the truck fuel system or frame.
  • They are much cleaner burning, superior cold starting, the
fuel never gels or gums up, and there is no obnoxious
exhaust odor. There's simply no cleaner burning motor, and
they are EPA and CARB Tier 4 emissions standards certified.
LifeForce is approved for use in California on 2007 and newer
trucks without need for a particulate filter.

About Propane Fuel
Propane - by street price - costs about 20% to 30% less than diesel
fuel.  Fleets of 10 or more vehicles, however, may want to install
bulk propane tanks at their facilities, which then brings their cost of
fuel to
50%- 60% less than diesel.  LifeForce has teamed up with
some of America's leading propane distributors, who will provide
bulk tanks and fuel to Dynapac-LP users across the US.  We are also
setting up partnerships with key truck stops across the country to
provide discounted propane to LifeForce APU users.  Contact us or
see your dealer for details.

We recommend using one or more 20, 33, or 43 lb. DOT propane
tanks.  That's 4.75, 8, and 10 gallons (respectively). Larger ASME
tanks up 50 gallons can be used without DOT restriction under the
Materials of the Trade rules.  Tank heater blankets for super-cold
climates are optional.  Tanks are hung off the frame rail just to the
rear of the cab, or attached to the deck behind the cab.  Alternately,
they can be installed within the faring areas.  DOT tanks are not
permanently installed, and can be removed for filling. They can be
filled at any bulk Propane tank facility, and in a pinch, the 20 lb units
can be exchanged at any tank exchange facility, like Home Depot or
Lowes.  Configured in this fashion, several extra fuel tanks can
legally be carried on the truck - without placarding.  An optional fuel
tank gauge inside the truck tells the driver the fuel level, as well as
the estimated run-time left.  Each 20 lb. tank will power the APU for
about 12 to 14 hours under most conditions.  Each 33 lb. tank will
last about 20 hrs, and the 43 lb. about 25 hrs.
