LifeForce was founded in 2006 by Stuart G. Solomon (President & CEO) and Eben E. Calder
(Chairman, Exec. VP). Stuart and Eben have been consultants in the environmental industry for
more than 20 years, working closely with the California Air Resources Board (CARB), and the EPA.
Because of their close ties with these agencies, information has often been available to them even
before it was public. The Company became aware of California's anti-idling laws early on, and
came to realize that the APU industry was just not going to be ready for the full impact of these
laws. Further, they recognized that truckers were not buying APUs, simply because they were too
expensive and did not pencil out economically.
The goal was to design and build an APU for the mass truck market that would meet all emissions
and compliance standards, but was affordable to all. It would pay for itself through fuel savings
alone, and be designed for easy installation and maintenance - something that no other APU
manufacturer offers. We went to proven, Western technology to produce an alternative fuel,
high-quality unit that will do everything diesel APUs can - but at a fraction of the cost. The LifeForce
APU is the cleanest burning APU in existence.
LifeForce's primary purpose is to be the low cost provider to the trucking industry - while supplying
the highest quality, durable, and reliable APU ever made. We believe that we have done this. Our
secondary purpose is to produce the cleanest burning, least polluting APU on the market, and to
play our part in reducing the Greenhouse gases that are destroying our planet's environments. We
